In this Creative Response workshop we will guide you through the creation and sharing of several artworks. You will step outside of your comfort zone just far enough to begin to understand how to let yourself be vulnerable and expose your creativity in a group situation. You will become a better listener and find yourself giving generous feedback during our lively discussion periods.
The work created is not meant to be finished art but rather it is a tool to help you see how this exchange of ideas can build upon itself to create something more than the individual pieces are on their own. It lets us see the value of building upon creative ideas in a group setting.
A detailed discussion emerges where we become aware of the importance of our partner's input and how it aids in the development of our own ideas.
This activity opens our awareness to the diverse and valid ideas of team members. A world of creation is shared while listening and responding, building respect for team member's ideas and confidence in presenting our own views.
This is a shorter version of the Create Together! workshop. Participants will still have the experience of seeing how ideas can build one one another but in a shorter format.
A detailed discussion emerges where we become aware of the importance of our partner's input and how it aids in the development of our own ideas. This workshop focuses more on the discussion and less on the creation of work due to the time constraints.
2- hour workshop
There is something magical and rewarding about creating a project out of raw clay. This workshop is a great opportunity to have some fun together making some projects out of clay. We will get the feel of the clay by doing some hand building exercises Then everyone will go on to make a unique project.
The projects can be ephemeral in nature and left behind at the end of the workshop or they can be dried and fired and shipped to your office when they are done.
